Consultations

At JM Aesthetics consultations are always free of charge; with all aesthetics procedures we advise your decision to be taken cautiously. Consultations also allows you time to meet with your injector and ask any appropriate questions. It also allows for a full detailed medical history to be taken to ensure suitability for treatment.

Anti Wrinkle

Antiwrinkle injections work by relaxing the facial muscles and smoothing out any fine lines and wrinkles leaving you feeling more youthful. Areas that can be treated are; frown, forehead, crows feet, nose, chin and mouth.

This treatment has been used safely for over 40 years in a range of medical conditions, including  cerebral palsy.

This treatment can be performed within a lunch break only needing a 20 minute appointment and has very little downtime however this treatment takes up to two weeks to see the full affects. Treatment typically last between 3-6 months.

Due to this treatment taking up to two weeks to show results. It’s important to not rub the treated area. This means no beauty facial treatments, no power showers to the face or vigorous exercise where you might need to wipe away perspiration. This is important in allowing the botulinum toxin to remain at the injection site.

Prior to any antiwrinkle treatment a consultation must be performed as this is a prescription only medicine and a full detailed medical history must be checked.

Hyperhidrosis

This procedure that can help treat excessive sweating caused by overactive sweat glands, with the use of botulinum toxin injected into the armpits; this can massively reduce the amount you sweat leaving you feeling more confident, for most patients this procedure is life changing.

Due to this treatment being a prescription medicine a consultation will be required prior to treatment.

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are facial injections that can be used to help smooth out the face and add structure where lacking due to loss of volume.

Dermal fillers are based upon hyaluronic acid this is also found naturally within our skin to give it it’s elasticity; as we age, we naturally break down our own hyaluronic acid, with this being said dermal fillers are a great way to keep structure and hydration to the face resulting in you feeling more youthful

Common areas for dermal filler to be used are in areas such as the lips, nasolabial folds, cheeks chin, jaw and tear trough area

People often ask the difference between dermal fillers and Botox. The main difference is that Botox is an anti-wrinkle treatment that helps reduce wrinkles on your skin’s surface whereas dermal fillers help with volume loss. Both Botox and dermal fillers have their own specific uses, and they also work very well together.

Pain Free Lip Filler

Yes that is correct, there really is such thing as pain free lip filler; with Joanne being GDC registered it allows her to perform a dental block prior to all lip enhancement procedures with no extra cost.

Lip Correction

With the increase of lip enhancements becoming so popular, we are noticing a rise in clients who are also unhappy with their results achieved elsewhere; with this being said we always advice having treatments carried out by a well-educated practitioner. Joanne is a complications expert and canhelp rectify this.

Joanne not only helps support other injectors across the country with any complications that they may occur, but has also corrected multiple lips to ensure patients are satisfied and confident with treatment that is being performed.

Aqualyx

Aqualyx is a fat dissolving treatment that targets fat removal from certain areas where they appear to be stubborn, with some stubborn areas despite exercise and good diet they still do not want to budge.

A solution is injected into the localised deposits of tissue into areas which liquefies the fat cell and helps diminish it; the lipids are then released and eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

Multiple sessions are normally recommended approximately 6 weeks apart.

Vitamin Injections

Vitamin B12 is injected into the muscle in the arm and can help assist the bodies levels if you are currently lacking; it is important to understand that no blood test is taking prior to injection and this is purely on a private basis only. Benefits if lacking can include:

Microblading

Our Microblading service allows you to have semi-permanent eyebrows created using the hairstroke technique resulting in a natural look. A top up is required six weeks later and is included in the original cost. A patch test is always required prior to treatment.

Micro Needling

Micro needling is an invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns via collagen production by small needles, this encourages your skin to produce new collagen. This allows the new skin tissue to be more even in tone and texture.

Micro needling can be used to treat many different skin concerns such enlarged pores, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles and stretch marks.

This treatment requires very little down time, but multiple sessions are recommended for optimal results.

Chemical Peels

The aim of chemical peels is to improve the appearance of the facial skin; it can help by reducing aging, spots and assist in evening out the skin tone, it is also a very good treatment to help with acne. It really does just give the skin its overall glow that it may be lacking.

The procedure has vey little down time and helps remove any dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new collagen.

For optimal results a course of treatment may be recommended.
